Cidermaking with sour or acidic prairie fruit can be a challenge. We have spent years developing methods for getting the best out of local fruit. Learn the basics of how to make cider with a focus on tips and tricks for working with cold hardy fruit.

So you’ve made a few batches of cider in your basement, but you’re ready to take your cidermaking to the next level. Our advanced class will teach you hands-on skills to improve your craft and consistently make cider you can be very proud to share.
The Science of Cider
Calling all science nerds! If things like apple cultivars, titration, pH, specific gravity, and yeast nutrients excite you, then this is the class for you. This hands-on class will guide you through the biology and chemistry foundational to cidermaking.

So much of cidermaking is an art form, especially in its final stages. Delve into the art of cidermaking and cover topics such as blending, advanced tasting, working with spice & herbs, and even tips & tricks for designing your own homebrew label art.
Industry Craft Cider Training
This training is catered to people working in industry roles where they are serving cider or offering tastings. Help your staff become knowledgable in how cider is made, the basics of tasting, and the breadth of craft ciders available in Alberta.
