Today we reached over 3,000 lbs of apples donated to the Multicultural Health Brokers this fall!
Through our community consultation (as an anthropologist and an urban planner starting a social enterprise, we were all about that community consultation!!), we found that most non-profits in Edmonton are overwhelmed with apple donations and don’t have the capacity to process them.
However, Multicultural Health Brokers has a food hamper program, that due to COVID, has gone from serving 100 families, to serving 400 families. We are so excited to be able to add healthy local produce to those hampers for the season.
As the cold weather is about to hit we have one last drop off day this Saturday:

In the alley at 112 AVE between 122 st & 123 st
